Celebrating Women in Photography Today – Together

Hundred Heroines is a unique contemporary museum and gallery dedicated to women in photography. We also have a comprehensive catalogue of online material, freely accessible.

Our New Home

Our new space won’t be ready until the summer, so in the meantime, we’re taking up temporary residence in a fabulous arts centre – Three Storeys.  Don’t be a stranger, come and visit us in our new home and try the excellent cake in the Plot Cafe.

What’s On

Nailsworth was an important mill town back in the day and this is reflected in our new multi-media site-specific installation, where we’re growing our own artwork alongside objects from the collection, photos from the archive and the Great Train Tapestry.  The history of photography is depicted through a camera display and we have a new Wunderkammer. There’s the chance to get involved with our living archives and, for something more relaxing, we have an eclectic browsing library.
